1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Paper (“Paper,” “App,” or “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Paper is a budgeting and money-management app providing:

• Financial account aggregation (via Plaid)
• Budgeting tools
• Reporting
• Optional AI-generated responses

The Service uses:

• Cloud storage
• Local device storage
• Apple Intelligence AI processing

Paper provides informational tools only.

3. Eligibility

You must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Have legal capacity to agree

4. Account Registration & Security

You are responsible for:

• Protecting your credentials
• Activity under your account

We are not liable for unauthorized use caused by failure to secure your account.

5. Financial Data & Third-Party Services

Plaid

We use Plaid to retrieve account data.

• We do not store bank login credentials
• Access is user-authorized
• Data accuracy is dependent on third-party systems

6. No Financial, Investment, or AI Advice

Paper — including AI features — does NOT provide:

• Financial advice
• Investment advice
• Legal advice
• Tax advice

AI responses:

• Are generated by Apple Intelligence
• May be inaccurate or incomplete
• Are for general information only

You are solely responsible for financial decisions.

7. AI Disclaimer & Limitation of Responsibility

AI is provided by Apple’s models.

• We do not control AI outputs
• We do not review AI responses
• We do not train AI on your data

We disclaim liability for:

• AI inaccuracies
• Your reliance on AI output

Use AI features at your own risk.

8. Subscriptions & Billing

Some features require payment.

• Billing occurs via App Store
• Renewals auto-renew unless canceled
• Refunds follow App Store policies

9. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Break laws
• Access others’ data
• Interfere with the Service
• Reverse engineer the app

We may suspend accounts violating these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

All content and software belong to Snail Kite Studios LLC or licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable license.

11. Data Storage & Privacy

Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge:

• Some data is stored locally
• AI processing occurs on-device
• Cloud storage is used for sync & features

12. Service Availability

We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted service
• Error-free performance

We may modify or discontinue features.

13. Termination

Either party may terminate use at any time.

We may suspend accounts for:

• Violations
• Legal compliance
• Misuse

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties.

We disclaim:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for purpose
• Accuracy guarantees
• Reliability of AI content

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for:

• Financial losses
• Lost profits
• Data loss
• AI errors
• Reliance on data

Total liability is limited to fees paid in the past 12 months.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Snail Kite Studios LLC for claims arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms

These Terms are governed by Florida law.
